How to measure for the Correct Drawer:
- Determining Drawer Width (W)
- Measure the distance from the cabinet frame to hinge (W).
- Then, round down to the nearest 1/2" and that is the drawer width needed.
- For example:
W=15 1/4", correct size drawer to order is 15".
W=18 3/4" correct size drawer to order is 18 1/2".
- Determining Drawer Depth (D)
- Standard Kitchen cabinets are 22" deep (unobstructed).
- Bathrooms are typically 18" or 20" deep.
- Next, check the depth of your cabinet. In particular, keep an eye out for pipes, outlets, electrical cables or any other obstructions that would affect the depth of drawer needed.
- Select either 22", 20" or 18".
- Check Clearance (H)
- Absolute height of (3") shallow drawer system mounted is 4" high.
- Absolute height of (6") deep drawer system mounted is 7" high.
- Select (3") shallow or (6") deep drawer.

If clutter and mess in your cabinets is snowing you under and you’re looking for new ways to organize your storage areas, than you’ll want the cabinet convenience offered by Rollout Drawers inc.
This Calgary company will transform your cabinets into a hassle-free, accessible space by installing convenient rollout drawers throughout your home. Brett Murphy, owner of Rollout Drawers, manufactures custom-made rollout drawers that can be installed into existing kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, laundry rooms, offices and garages.
“Homeowners can reduce the clutter by installing these drawers into their cabinets, and because they are designed specifically for the space, we can install into almost any cabinet” says Murphy.
Rather than spending thousands of dollars on new cabinets, roilout drawers provide an
affordable alternative to maximizing precious shelf space by opening up the often unused, hard to access back areas of a shelf. “If you are considering doing something in your kitchen or bathroom, call us first,” he says.

From the measurements, the drawers are custom manufactured at Rollout Drawers’ southwest Calgary location, and can be installed within two weeks, he says.
“We have professional installers who come into the home and complete the installation and there’s no dust or mess created; it’s fast and convenient.”
Do-it-yourselfers can also install the rollout drawers. “Our website provides people with information on how to do the measurements, then they place an order, we manufacture them and they pick them up. They are fairly easy to install.”
As well, if you’re already into a renovations project, Rollout Drawers can work with contractors and designers on the installation of the drawers. “So we can do the installation, you can do it yourself or you can have your contractor do it.”
The drawers come in white or maple durable melamine, in 3-inch and 6-inch depths and hold up to 75 lbs. so they’re great for kitchen pantries and long deep cupboards that are difficult to access. The rails, imported from Germany, offer a quiet, smooth operation.
